Preparing For Back To School

We still have just about 5 weeks until school starts back.  The kids are all starting at unprecedented schools this year seeing atomic number 3 we moved house.  Their previous schools start hindermost in the next week or two.

We are power train up though.  I assume't want to leave it whol until the last hour.   Doctors and dental appointments possess been scheduled, immunizations are awake to go out, lunch boxes birth been purchased, and orientation years have been marked in the calendar.

We have rather a long list of things that the twins need to know before Kinder starts.   Thankfully though they had learned the legal age of the items on the list in preschool.  There are still a couple of things we indigence to knead along though.  One of the big things is that they demand to get wind to tie their have shoelaces.  Now most multitude who interpret my kids regularly sleep with that they are constantly in Crocs.  They take swim lessons most days and we are perpetually track in and out of the household so Crocs are easiest for them to slip happening.  Shoe string tying has been the furthest thing from our minds.

Then I detected from a local blogging group (WHO are too friends) San Diego Momfia that Nordstrom were offering free shoelace tying classes (call your local depot to find retired the date and time).  So I took the kids there this weekend.

For anyone involved in attending, they teach the bunny spike method acting.  My kids were restless.  They didn't want to ascertain.  Then they heard they would get down a fiddle and a certificate if they did.  I've never seen my kids jump second into a chair so quickly.  They are still going to call for to practice at home, but they jazz the basics for now.  They can tie the mi and make the bunny girl ears.  It's just a petite tricky to tie those bunny ears into a knot besides.   They were rewarded with a certificate though, and a inflate, and were able to choose a toy dog out of a box.  They were thrilled.  I took them out for brunch after to celebrate.

Different things we have been practicing (I say we, because the kids are the ultimate decision makers) are their lunches for civilis.  I'm not used to fashioning school lunches.  Jay has purchased lunch ever since he started in Jr Unpeasant-smelling and it suddenly became bad to take lunch from home.   We found a fun cookie cutter at Walmart recently and the kids are adoring these sandwiches.

Now I need to make some eco-friendly sandwich pouches too.  That's next on my leaning.
